This is a selection of videos made for my Greater Earth YouTube channel. The channel was originally launched in 2013 as the basis of my virtual space program where I was the ‘Resident Artist’ of Greater Earth. The channel was re-launched in 2026.

Relaunch of the Greater Earth YouTube Channel
April 3, 2026 (22:13)
After a pause of several years, Arthur Woods – the resident artist of Greater Earth – has returned with a relaunch of the Greater Earth YouTube channel. Arthur begins with the first video he uploaded back in 2016 and follows up with some newer videos documenting developments that have occurred in the meantime. His virtual space program has evolved into a real space program that has seen orbital artworks become potential space missions for the European Space Agency. His current activities are focused providing clean energy from space via Space Solar Power and harvesting lunar resources and the future of humanity in the region of Greater Earth.
Welcome to Greater Earth
April 15, 2026 (5:52)
Introducing the concept of Greater Earth. As it has throughout its history, humanity must now once again refine its perception of the home planet in order to recognize and embrace the perception of a greater, richer and more sustainable Earth.
Moon Bound Presentation by Arthur Woods
October 8, 2026 (19:23)
On July 10, 2026, I was invited by the Moon Gallery Foundation to talk about my art and my contribution called ‘Greater Earth to the Moon Bound book. This video is a re-mastered version of my presentation.
Peace off Earth – Peace with Earth – Peace on Earth
August 11, 2026 (12:13)
The biggest obstacle to space development and to civilisation in general, are the wars over energy and other resources we are currently witnessing. Thus, the choice of using space technologies for either peace or for war and how that choice may impact the future of humanity is critical to our future. Simply stated, humanity must soon make this critical choice. Establishing ‘Peace off Earth’ through mutual international cooperation and by applying resources of Greater Earth to solving terrestrial problems such as energy security, climate and environmental problems, this could then enable ‘Peace with Earth’ – and ultimately creating a solid basis for ‘Peace on Earth’.
The Cosmic Dancer Launched on May 22, 1993
May 22, 2026 (8:34)
The video is a commemoration of the Cosmic Dancer project that was launched to the Mir space station 33 years ago. It is narrated by crew member cosmonaut Alexander Polischuk:
“Contemplating the sculpture turning in weightlessness while listening to music resulted in an effect which is possibly totally unknown on Earth. It is difficult to describe this effect. That we can really call dancing!“
A conversation between multimedia artist Eva Petrič and Arthur Woods
July 22, 2026 (44:59)
Eva Petrič is a multimedia artist in the fullest sense of the term creating works in photography, video, performance, multimedia installation, music and writing. Eva and I became connected through the Moon Bound Book project which we discuss in this conversation.
A Conversation with Dr Barbara Brownie about the Moon Bound Book Project
June 8, 2026 (23:31)
Dr Barbara Brownie joins Arthur woods in a conversation about the Moon Bound Book. Barbara Brownie is Associate Dean of the School of Communication at the Royal College of Art in London. Together with Christopher Cokinos, she is co-editor of the Moon Bound Book. With this project, Barbara wants to engage with how this moment in the cultural history of space exploration marks a transition from gazing up at the Moon to gazing back at Earth.
Moon Bound Book
May 17, 2026 (5:19)
‘Moon Bound’ is a miniature book containing an international collection of 49 works by visual artists, photographers, poets and writers which is scheduled to land near the lunar South Pole in later this year. These artworks are collected in a micro-sized hand-bound artists’ book titled Moon Bound. The organizers of the project is the Moon Gallery Foundation based in the Netherlands. They asked the contributors to create works in response to the question, “How does the Moon see the Earth?” The video documents the exhibition which took place in Plovdiv, Bulgaria from February 23 to May 1, 2026 inside the Bishop’s Basilica of Philippopolis.
Chasing the Sun – A Conversation with Yelena Ganshof
July 2, 2026 (3:15)
This video is a conversation between Arthur Woods and documentary film maker Yelena Ganshof – a Swiss-based documentary filmmaker and producer known for making complex scientific and technological topics accessible to broad audiences.
Lunar Mass Driver – Lunar Space Elevator: A Comparison
June 15, 2026 (5:53)
On 21 March 2026, Elon Musk announced Terafab as a proposed large-scale semiconductor initiative involving Tesla, SpaceX and xAI, with the stated goal of dramatically expanding AI compute capacity for terrestrial and space-based applications. Astrostrom’s 2023 feasibility study indicated that a Luner Space Elevator would be a superior transportation system as it would avoid many of the issues associated with using a lunar mass driver. This video visually compares the two technological visions of launching payloads of manufactured components from the surface of the Moon.
A Star is Born
April 3, 2026 (9:52
A ‘Star is Born’ is the video about the Space Option Star that was made in 2021 after being selected by the European Space Agency’s (ESA) call for new mission ideas and concepts. Of the 201 submitted proposals about 20 ideas were selected including 4 proposals for Space Solar Power or SBSP. I narrate the video with additional background information.
Make Earth an Artwork
April 10, 2026 (9:15)
This is a re-post of a 2017 video, where I discuss why art is important to society and if we lose faith in our leaders and institutions “art” still gives us some hope. I quote from the book “The Meaning of Art” by the British art historian Herbert Read who believes that believes that art is so much more significant than economics or philosophy in that art is the direct measure of humanity’s spiritual vision. How does this apply to Greater.Earth? “Let’s make Earth an artwork.”
Together to the Moon
May 13, 2026 (8:06)
This video features my company Astrostrom’s approach to Space-Based Solar Power (SBSP) by utilization lunar resources to build Solar Power Satellite (SPS) components on the Moon. The video features China’s Long March 9 – a super heavy-lift reusable launcher for transporting factory modules to manufacture Monograin Layer (MGL) photovoltaics from lunar regolith to power a lunar solar power station. The video is based on Astrostrom’s 2023 feasibility study commissioned by the European Space Agency (ESA).
